Four Season Porch

One of the big projects Russ and I have been working on his the Four Season porch. When Russ and I first met he had just started to work on the room. He had hired a guy to hang the dry wall. I told Russ that it would be fun for us to paint the room. But no he had this guy do it.
Once the walls were done Russ and I worked on the window box, base board, and door frame. Russ also tired to clean the floor because the guy did a terrible job of protecting the floor. The floor had not salvageable. The tiles were old and the ones that had been in the house for years. We were both really upset that we had to redo the floor. After two weekend the floor was finally done. Russ did a GREAT job at laying the tile. Everything was done but a few touch up on the walls. I got the paint out and started doing them. Come to find out the color did not match. We have no clue what had happen. After a few trying of trying to match the color we had no luck. We end up having to re-paint the whole room. I will say this was not fun at all. Between custom window boxes, base board, door frames and wood stove box and everything. But after a long week it was done.
We end up getting some furniture at a second hand store that was in great shape. Also when we were at my parent house getting some of my stuff that was still there. Russ spotted an old antique lamp in my parents basement. My dad told Russ that we could have it if we wanted it. I did not like that idea but knew Russ really wanted it so I agree to take it. It need some TLC thou. Russ and I clean it and polished it up and know that is also in the room.

We still need to decorate the porch but we have a few ideas. I have two black and white and one color pictures to hang on the far wall. They are from the Jackson Street Railroad Museum. We are also trying to work on a Light Box Frame for some more of the pictures we took the the museum.

As of right now that is the room. One the other end of the porch will go my desk for the time being. The hope is to use the extra rooms upstairs for my office and craft room. But this room needs a lot of work and is a bit far done and the project list.
